Crashed into houses on approach to Guarulhos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The 3 crew were killed as were 18 people on the ground. The aircraft was destroyed.


The 707 was making a high speed approach to runway 09R when the left wing struck a building. The aircraft crashed into a residential area near the intersection of Rua Rua Regente Feijó and Rua Sandovalina in the Jardim Ipanema neighborhood and burst into flames. Three crew members and 22 persons on the ground were killed.
