This is the eastern end of TAA's Hangar 8 which is believed to be the original wartime structure. Just visible at left, and denoted by the layout of the fluorescent lights, is the change in roof profile of the postwar extension to the west. This photo was taken on 12 July 1970, the day after the Twin Otter arrived on its delivery flight from Canada. The aircraft still carries its ferry registration N8336 and the ferry tanks can be seen on a trolley under the left wing. The aircraft entered service with TAA in PNG as VH-TGH Daru on 25 July.Photo: Ron Cuskelly (ND183)
