Just
three days before it entered service, TAA Twin Otter VH-TGX was photographed
on 7 July 1968 with Hangar 8 in the background. The "saw-tooth"
roofed section is a postwar extension. The curved roof of Hangar 7 is
visible at right. The red brick building under the tailplane of the
Twin Otter is the Ford plant. The structure between Hangar 8 and the
Ford plant is the so-called "Boeing Hangar" erected in the
sixties by TAA.
