Beech 200 VH-FDA of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (Queensland Section) at Bowen, Qld on 28 April 1999. The aircraft had served with the NSCA as VH-NSD and was the first aircraft modified with the inward opening door. Following the collapse of the NSCA, the aircraft was registered to the RFDS as VH-FDA on 14 February 1997. Curiously, the aircraft retained the NSCA inward opening door and the bubble observation windows during its RFDS service. Note the absence of folded steps on the inside of the large cargo door and the consequent use of a folding step ladder with which to board the aircraft.Picture: CT Aeropics
