Field Crews photographed in Townsville on 7th August 1970. Aircraft
are (L to R) Aero Commander VH-AGA, Hudson VH-AGS and Cessna 206 VH-DGD.
Hudson VH-AGX is out of the photo. The signwriting on the nose of
AGS reads as follows:
"Featherington-Kite
open basket-weave flying machine for Gentlemen Mark II"
Brian Costello
recalls that the nose art was done by Peter Shute and that "Jack
McDonald was not too pleased but we had polished the whole aircraft
with Turtle Wax which went some way toward atonement."
Brian has also identified Roger Knight in the photograph. This
image is scanned from a poor quality print. Does anyone have
a better image?
