707-138 VH-EBA between flights at London Heathrow. It is possible that
this image was taken on or about 7 September 1959 after the aircraft
had operated the inaugural Qantas jet service to London via the USA.
Photographer David Davis was a printer with BOAC at Heathrow and it
could be speculated that he was motivated to photograph the aeroplane
because it was new and noteworthy. Unfortunately there are no records
to support this hypothesis.
